The designer, Catlin Stothers Design, wanted a custom fireplace mantel with a soft radius and vertical fluting that would anchor the room without competing with bold upholstery and art. Because the team couldn’t visit our showroom, we
collaborated virtually—sharing drawings, finish samples, and build details until the final profile was dialed in. Our in-house Designers support projects with CAD drawings and color matching to make long-distance approvals straightforward.

Design Story: Adagio, Reimagined
Adagio’s signature language—sleek bands and quiet depth—became the starting point. For this space, we wrapped the fluting around the lower face and softened the corners to create a smooth, continuous gesture. The result is a minimal statement piece that pairs beautifully with the mustard woven rug and plum-violet seating while framing the fire with confident simplicity.
