Let’s look at the classic-designed dining area where the Margaret fireplace is an elegant centrepiece of the room. The whole room concept for this formal dining room is to provide an elegant classic space immerse guests into a modern luxury atmosphere. The designer decided not to add drama with the mantel by making it the same colour as the wall. Also, the inside arch element softens the strong right angles of the mantel shape. This draws more attention to the flickering warmth of the fire. In this case, the client chose to go with a gas zero-clearance fireplace, but there are other options like wood burning, electrical or bioethanol.
